This weekend my boyfriend and I decided to go out for a
little shopping trip at what I would describe as an outdoor shopping centre; Westwood
cross near Broadstairs. Our journey there takes us through lots of picturesque country
roads and quaint little villages, we travel this route quite often and pass a
pretty Chinese restaurant which I always say we should stop at but never do.
This time I made sure we stopped and were glad we did! The restaurant’s called
Chopstix and they offer a special lunch deal of 2 courses for £4.95.

Here are my choices ‘spare ribs capital style’ and a ‘chicken
chow mien’ – look at the little pig (I think?) that they carved out of a swede
next to the ribs! So sweet!

There was so much chow mien I couldn’t finish it, so stomachs
full we left and headed for one of my favourite destinations – PRIMARK! I told
myself I had to be good as the Westwood cross Primark is always quiet and laid
out so clearly and tidily it makes finding beautiful things too easy! I limited
myself to wintery items only here are a few pictures of the items I purchased. I
apologise now for the quality but I took these pictures in a hurry cause I was
too eager to wear one of the jumpers and wanted to get them all photographed together!
Haha.
The first jumper is this burgundy/black speckled jumper. It has
a bobbly feel to it and a pleather trim around the collar. The sleeves are full
length and the style is quite baggy. (I wore this one to work today and it kept
me snug all day! – paired with some disco pants and a gold chain). This jumper was either £12 or £14 which i thought was on the expensive side for primark when i didnt feel too thick but it seems like they're putting most of their prices up recently and its still cheaper than jumpers from most other retailers.

The second jumper is a pastel blue with pink and purple
flecks running through it. It’s a waffle knit crop jumper with full length
sleeves. I wasn’t 100% on this one when I picked it up as it’s not a colour I usually
veer towards but after
trying it on I was pleasantly surprised. Also pictured is a thin long gold chain, this was £3, I was
really excited about this as I have a larger chain from primark which always causes
comments of ‘Mr T’ so I’m hoping this one is a tad more understated haha.

Now
you can’t go into primark in winter without picking up a Christmas jumper! They
had a whole range this year with some really crazy designs such as snow men
with carrot noses which stick out and Rudolph with his shiny red nose. I thought
these were a little too out there for me despite making me giggle so I opted
for something a little less in your face but still very much in the holiday
spirit. This navy sweater has the iconic
coca cola Santa from the TV adverts which always get me so excited for Christmas
so when I saw this I just had to get it!

I picked up a couple of accessories whilst I was there too,
firstly are these cute little fox fingerless fox mittens with little pompom
ears. The face flips over the fingers so you can still cover up your hands
completely if the weather gets too cold. I grabbed two pairs of the super cosy
tights, unfortunately I didn’t notice I’d got the footless ones but they’ll
still do the job I guess! These tights have a fleecy lining and are about the
same thickness as leggings these for me are a must during winter as I’m not a
massive fan of jeans!

Finally I picked up
one of my favourite buys of the whole trip, this may be a very hit or miss item
but for me it’s a definite hit! – GIRAFFE ONESIE haha (‘: this is so so soft
and I know I’ll be living in this for the duration of the cold weather. Primark
have so many cute animal onesies in store right now, I also took a liking to a
fluffy elephant which I may have to get my hands on as well!

I hope some of you may have enjoyed this more 'lifestyle' type blog, I don't want to just stick to one subject as i feel writing about whatever takes my fancy is a lot more real - and as i enjoy reading other peoples hauls/days out blogs i thought i'd try one myself!
hope you're all well!
lots of love
